FG criticises 'lack of consultation' on partnership deal
15/06/2006 - 13:21:28Fine Gael has attacked the Government for failing to consult the Oireachtas in connection with the social partnership agreement that was finally concluded last night.
Speaking in the Dáil today, the party's deputy leader Richard Bruton said TDs and Senators were entitled to have a say on such an important deal.
"An agreement is being put in place that purports to set out a framework for legislation for 10 years ahead and the Oireachtas has no say in it," he said.
