FF looks for commitment to freeze clamping cost in Dublin


Fianna Fáil will today move to prevent any increase in the clamping charge in Dublin city.

The party's group leader on Dublin City Council Mary Fitzpatrick will propose a motion at the strategic policy committee on transport and traffic this afternoon.

Councillor Fitzpatrick is calling on the Minister for Transport to give a commitment that the clamping charge will not be increased.

There were suggestions last week that the charge should be increased from €80 to €130.
