The Minister for Health James Reilly is being challenged to outline how he intends to shore up the massive deficit in the health budget between now and Christmas.
It emerged yesterday that the projected overrun for this year's HSE budget is almost €400m.
Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has recorded the biggest overspend at €21m, followed by the Midwestern Regional Hospital in Limerick at €19m.
Fianna Fáil's Health Spokesperson Billy Kelleher is concerned that the Minister will try and make-up for budget failings by taking money from frontline services.
