Fianna Fáil is attacking the opposition's proposals for fighting organised crime.

The party claimed today that Fine Gael in particular was putting forward "unrealistic" promises about boot camps, more gardaí and a firearms amnesty.

Fianna Fáil is promising to make it more difficult for criminals to hold onto the proceeds of their crimes and is also vowing to tackle the problem of prisoners possessing mobile phones.

Meanwhile, the party is also reiterating today that it will not go into coalition with Sinn Féin, despite opinion polls showing it will struggle to retain office with PD support alone.
