Fennelly report to be released imminently

The report into the departure of Martin Callinan as Garda Commissioner is to be published in the next few minutes after being cleared by the Attorney General.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has read the 300 page interim report from the Fennelly Commission and it is understood Tánaiste Joan Burton has been briefed on its contents.

The Opposition have claimed Mr Kenny effectively sacked Mr Callinan after sending the then secretary general of the Department of Justice to his home in March of last year.
