Female pedestrian dies after being hit by truck
Gardaí are investigating a fatal crash in Co Tipperary today.
A female pedestrian died after she was hit by a truck in Thurles town centre shortly before midday.
The victim, believed to be from Roscrea, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The stretch of road remains closed to traffic to allow for a garda technical examination.
