A female cyclist injured in a traffic collision in the Killerisk area of Tralee on Thursday, has died.

A female cyclist injured in a traffic collision in the Killerisk area of Tralee on Thursday, has died.

Gayle McConkey from Castlewood Park, Tralee, who was 40, was involved in a collision with a car at around 7.15pm on Thursday evening.

She was taken to Kerry General Hospital where she remained in a critical condition for a number of days, before passing away in the early hours of this morning.

Tralee Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 066-7102300.
