Irish Rail has said there has been a fatality near Sallins Station in Co Kildare.
It happened at around 3.30pm and Irish Rail says has advised commuters that there is no service to-and-from Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Westport and Galway, as the line has been closed following the incident.
Services to and from Heuston have now resumed, but commuters are being warned of significant delays.

Commuters are being advised that there are major delays to and from Heuston Station in Dublin this evening.
Update: We are currently waiting on emergency services to re-open the line to allow us operate services to/from Heuston.

There are significant delays to services and Irish Rail is advising customers to seek alternative transport.

The rail firm said that emergency services are attending the incident.
Update: A limited commuter train service will operate between Heuston & Hazelhatch serving all stations in between.
