Fatal crash in Carrick-on-Suir

A pedestrian has been killed following a crash in Carrick-on-Suir in Co. Tipperary.

A pedestrian has been killed following a crash in Carrick-on-Suir in Co. Tipperary.

The incident happened shortly before 3pm this afternoon on the main N24 near Davin Park.

This collision, which involved a truck and a male pedestrian, happened on the main road into Carrick on Suir near the fire station

Emergency services, including Gardaí, the fire brigade and ambulance crews are at the scene.

The road is completely blockedand Gardaí have put diversions in place and the N24 in Carrick on Suir is expected to remain closed for a number of hours.
