Fatal accident in Cork kills man in his 40s

Gardaí in Cork are continuing to investigate a fatal collision which claimed the life of a man in his 40s yesterday.

Gardaí in Cork are continuing to investigate a fatal collision which claimed the life of a man in his 40s yesterday.

The incident happened at Adrigole Bridge on the Bantry to Castletownbere road, between 2am and 3am yesterday morning.

The sole occupant of the car was fatally injured when the vehicle he was driving collided with a wall.

A post mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact gardaí.
