A farmer has died in an incident involving a quad bike in Co Meath.

It happened at around 9.30pm last night at Ballinderry, near Enfield.

The man - who was in his 70s - has been taken to Navan morgue, where a post mortem will be carried out.

The Health and Safety Authority has been notified.
