Cork's Mercy Hospital reopens emergency dept

The hospital in Cork which had to evacuate its lower floors when the River Lee burst its banks is re-opening its emergency department.

The Mercy Hospital came within minutes of a full evacuation early on Friday morning, when rising waters threatened its power supply.

CEO Pat Madden says services are now returning to normal.
