126 students to receive McManus bursary

One-hundred-and-twenty-six students are being honoured at the University of Limerick later after winning an All-Ireland scholarship.
The bursaries are set at €6,750 or £5,500 per year and will continue for the duration of the under-graduate programme chosen by the scholarship winners.
The scholarships are awarded to the top performing students in each county who attended a recognised non fee-paying school and are exempt from paying the Leaving Cert fee.
Businessman JP McManus, who sponsors the bursary, is hosting the ceremony.
It is the first time students from Northern Ireland are also eligible for the award.
