Cork airport reopens

Cork Airport has reopened after snow forced its closure for 20 hours.
Over 10 centimetres of snow fell on the runway yesterday and overnight, the most on record.
Dozens of flights were cancelled.
"Almost 5,000 people have been discommoded as a result of the snowy conditions in Cork over the last day," spokesman Kevin Cullinane said.
"We are encouraging passengers to check the status of their flights with their airline before leaving home today to catch any flights."
