Lisbon must be ratified for economic recovery, claims Cowen
18/09/2009 - 15:37:31Taoiseach Brian Cowen has said we must pass the Lisbon Treaty on October 2 to secure future jobs and foreign investment.
Cowen was speaking at the country's first ever Global Economic Forum in Dublin.
Some 180 Irish business people, who head up large companies abroad, have gathered in Farmleigh to provide their views on how we can overcome the recession.
The Taoiseach said a 'Yes' vote on Lisbon will send out the right signal to foreign investors.
