Weekend strikes threatened at Dublin Bus as drivers reject deal

Travel chaos may be on the way for bus passengers in Dublin at the weekend after drivers voted this evening to reject Labour Court recommendations on cost-cutting measures at Dublin Bus.

Members of the National Bus and Rail Union and SIPTU voted by a slim majority to reject the latest proposals.

Both unions have urged Dublin Bus to hold back on implementing the withdrawal of 120 buses next Sunday.
