An explosive device has been made safe by the Army Bomb Disposal Team this afternoon in Carrickmines in Dublin.
The team arrived at around midday when a suspect device was found near a private vehicle in the Drinaghmore area.
A cordon and road closures were put in place for public safety and a number of nearby houses were evacuated.
The device was made safe at around 1.20pm without the need for a controlled explosion.
