Every Irish person in Haiti accounted for, says Government

The Department of Foreign Affairs says it has now made contact with every Irish person they were aware of being in Haiti.

A total of 17 Irish citizens have been contacted directly or have made contact with their families and are safe and well.

They are made up of people working for the communications company Digicel, aid workers, missionaries and a number of people travelling through the region.
