EU states have no appetite to renegotiate Lisbon Treaty
11/11/2008 - 15:30:35The Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin has said that it is very clear that other EU states do not want to renegotiate the Lisbon Treaty.
Mr Martin was speaking this afternoon at an Oireachtas Sub-Committee on Ireland's future in Europe.
Mr Martin said the Government was still examining what the next step is in the wake of Ireland's rejection of the Lisbon Treaty.
The minister said that, while other states were not putting pressure on Ireland, it was obvious that they did not want to re-enter talks on the treaty.
