Emergency services searching for man seen entering river Liffey

A search operation has been mounted in Dublin city centre after a man was seen entering the river Liffey.

A search operation has been mounted in Dublin city centre after a man was seen entering the river Liffey.

The alarm was raised at a bridge in the IFSC area at around 10.15am.

A range of agencies were called to the scene, including Dublin Fire Brigade's river rescue unit, the coastguard and Garda divers.

The man has not yet been found and the operation is being scaled back, while a Garda investigation is also underway.
