Elderly woman dies after collision with garda car

A 75-year-old woman has died in hospital after she was struck by a marked garda patrol car in Dublin.

The collision happened shorty before 11.30am today on the Fonthill Road in Clondalkin.

The 75-year-old pedestrian - who was seriously injured in the collision - was rushed by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital.
