An elderly brother and sister are recovering this morning after being tied up during an overnight robbery at their home in the outskirts of south Belfast.

The pensioners, who are in their 70s and 80s, were sitting in their kitchen in the Dunmurry area last night when three masked men, one of them armed with a crowbar, burst into the house.

The occupants were tied up and told their home would be set on fire if they did not give the gang money.

The robbers then ransacked the house before fleeing with an undisclosed sum of cash.
