An elderly man has died in a house fire in Dublin.

An elderly man has died in a house fire in Dublin.

The blaze broke out shortly after 7.30pm yesterday evening, on Monaloe Crescent in Cabinteely.

An 85 year old man died in the fire, while a second man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.

Gardaí have said an investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
