Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the death of an elderly man who was knocked out of his electric wheelchair by a truck.

Gardaí in Dublin are investigating the death of an elderly man who was knocked out of his electric wheelchair by a truck.

the collision happened at Hanlons Corner, North Circular Rd, Dublin 7 at around 4.13pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.

The 87-year-old man was knocked out of his electric wheelchair by a white truck believed to be a Mercedes.

The injured man was taken to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, but died on Friday, October 3, 2014.

The driver of the truck failed to stop and investigating officers at the Bridewell are anxious to speak to him or to any other person who can provide information.

They are calling on anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them at the Bridewell Garda Station on 01-666 8200
