A man on a mobility scooter has been attacked during a robbery in Belfast.

A man on a mobility scooter has been attacked during a robbery in Belfast.

It happened in the Peters Hill area in north Belfast at around 2.45pm today.

The man was approached by two men in their early twenties, who asked for a cigarette.

One then produced a stanley knife and demanded cash. When he refused, he was slashed on the arm.

The victim, aged in his 50s, then handed over some cash, but was slashed again.

The man was treated in hospital for non life threatening injuries.
