A 78-year-old woman has spoken publicly of her "frightening experience" for the first time following two aggravated burglaries at her home in Donegal in less than two months.
Phyllis McGee, who lives alone at her home in Belault near Pettigo, was subjected to two robberies - the first on November 16 last year and the second incident last Saturday night.
Three men, who are understood to have been wearing hoodies, forced their way into the home of the elderly woman shortly after 10pm on Saturday night.
They pushed the 78-year-old to the ground and ransacked the premises before making off with a sum of cash.
The raiders made their getaway in a car in the direction of Pettigo.
The woman managed to raise the alarm by flagging down a passing motorist.
Speaking exclusively to Ocean FM news, Ms McGee said it was a very frightening experience.
