One hundred and seventy new jobs are being announced this morning.

Eir is creating 100 new positions with the rollout of high speed fibre broadband across Ireland.

Engineering design company Biopharma Engineering is creating 70 new positions in Dublin and Cork.

"We're looking for everything from entry-level graduate positions, process chemical engineering, mechanical engineering," said managing director John O' Reilly.

"We're also looking for more senior personnel. As well as that, we're looking for project managers, with life science/biopharma experience."
