The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has served eight enforcement orders on food businesses in August for breaches in food safety legislation

Seven closure orders were served: two in Dublin, two in Mayo, and one each in Cork, Galway, and Louth.

One prohibition order was also served on Supervalu on the Main Street in Ballymun in Dublin.

The premises in question were:

• Akash Restaurant, 7 George’s Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin

• Juno’s Café Deli (restaurant), 26 Parkgate Street, Dublin 8

• T.J. O’Toole (public house) (supply of food from the kitchen), Tourmakeady, Mayo

• Tasty Bite (restaurant), 1A Main Street, Bantry, Cork

• Abbey Tavern (public house), The Square, Tuam, Galway

• Fuchsia House & Gables Bar (restaurant), Dundalk Road, Ardee, Louth

• The Larches Bar (public house) (preparing and serving foods), Finny, Claremorris, Mayo
