Three UCD students face expulsion for throwing eggs at the Taoiseach during an official visit on November 29 last year.
Enda Kenny was greeted by the hostile reception as he officially opened UCD's new student centre.
The eggs missed their intended target but UCD's vice president for students Martin Butler was caught in the crossfire.
The trio say they were protesting over fees and cuts to student grants.
Suzanne Lee, who will appear before a disciplinary committee today, said she is aware she may be expelled, but does not regret her actions.
"I'm not from a background that most students in this university are. I worked before I came here…I would rather defend people like me and their access to education and if that requires me getting expelled, (so be it)," said.
"If we had stood outside and chanted things and had banners, there would never have been as much media coverage as there was of what we wanted to get across, which is that people should not be stopped from obtaining third-level education."
