The controversial Poolbeg Incinerator in Dublin is a step closer after the European Commission found the Ringsend project did not breach EU rules on State aid.

The controversial Poolbeg Incinerator in Dublin is a step closer after the European Commission found the Ringsend project did not breach EU rules on State aid.

The commission has yet to rule on whether or not it was in breach of procurement procedures.

Dublin City Council manager Owen Keegan has said that the project would not go ahead if either complaint went against it.
