Dutch man charged in connection with Shannon scare

A Dutch man charged in connection with a bomb scare on board a plane which landed at Shannon Airport earlier this week has been further remanded in custody to allow the DPP compile a full case file.

A Dutch man charged in connection with a bomb scare on board a plane which landed at Shannon Airport earlier this week has been further remanded in custody to allow the DPP compile a full case file.

Jorge Flores is charged with causing a false alarm on board a flight from Amsterdam to Aruba by telling cabin crew that he had a bomb on board.

The 44-year-old appeared before Ennis District Court today where his detention was extended until January 21, when an application for bail is expected to be made.
