Tributes have been paid to the victims of flight MH17, one of whom was Irish.

Dublin born Edel Mahady had been visiting her mother in Ireland and was returning back to Australia.

Pro-Russian rebels inside Ukraine are being blamed for bringing down the Malaysian passenger jet with a ground-to-air missile, killing all 298 passengers on board.

President Obama believes evidence indicates it was fired from an area that is considered a separatist stronghold.

He is calling for a credible investigation into the disaster.

European monitors went to the scene earlier but have said they were not able to move around freely and will try to get access again tomorrow.
