A woman in her late 50s is being treated in hospital this evening, following a car hijacking in Dublin.

A woman in her late 50s is being treated in hospital this evening, following a car hijacking in Dublin.

She was driving into an apartment complex at Argyle House on Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge when she was assaulted, and the car was stolen.

The incident took place at approximately 2pm.

The car, a grey Ford Focus (registration 03 D 55722) was last seen heading towards Merrion Road. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Gardaí.
