Dublin teenager's heart attack baffles doctors at inquest

Doctors say they cannot explain why a Dublin teen died of a massive heart attack the morning after a pre-debs dance.

17-year-old Kaelem Hainsworth collapsed at a friend's house on the south side in November 2012, after complaining about a severe pain in his chest.

An inquest heard yesterday that no drugs or alcohol were found in his system, and there were no signs of heart disease.

A friend told the court that he had seen other students taking drugs on the bus to the dance, but Kaelem was "anti-drugs" and would not have taken them.
