Dublin stabbing victim pronounced dead

The 45-year-old man who was stabbed on the North Strand last night was pronounced dead at the Mater University Hospital today.

It is understood that a row broke out between two men inside a fast-food outlet and that one of them armed himself with a large knife.

It is reported that the victim went into cardiac arrest on his way to hospital.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who was at the location on the North Strand between 10.15pm and 10.45pm last night to contact the incident room at Mountjoy Garda Station on 01- 666 8600. the Garda Confidential Line 1 800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
