A small protest which had blocked traffic on Dublin's O'Connell street this evening has come to a close peacefully.

A small protest which had blocked traffic on Dublin's O'Connell street this evening has come to a close peacefully.

Approximately a dozen people were engaged in a sit in on the northern lane of the roadway earlier.

Gardaí attended the scene however demonstrators are said to have left the area after being asked to move on.
