Dublin man's body washed ashore in England
10/02/2012 - 20:58:27Gardaí have confirmed that a body found washed ashore on a beach in England is that of an Dublin man who had been missing for over 11 years.
39 year old John Crawford, who was from Tallaght, went missing in October 2000.
A joint operation between gardaí, forensic experts and police in Cumbria involving DNA samples has helped to identify him.
The remains were discovered at Annaside Beach in Bootle on 15 December 2000, almost two months after he went missing.
