Dublin Lockout Exhibition opens today
A handwritten message from Jim Larkin advising union colleagues that "all must work together" is among the items on display at The "Dublin Lockout Exhibition" which is being launched today.
The launch takes place almost exactly 100 years to the day since drivers and conductors left their trams on Dublin's O'Connell St, in a sequence of events leading to the Dublin Lockout.
The exhibition runs at No. 2 Kildare Street, Dublin, until next March and admission is free.
Head of services at the National Library, Catherine MacSharry, said the exhibition brings 1913 to life.
