Dublin homeless body records 1,100 at risk in six months

New figures are bringing further evidence of Dublin's homelessness problem.

The Dublin Region Homeless Executive says it identified more than 1,100 people as being at immediate risk of becoming homeless over the past six months.

It also said 98% of those who contacted their Tenancy Protection Service were receiving rent supplement.

In the third week of July, 271 families with children were in emergency accommodation in the Dublin area, and that figure had jumped to 325 by the third week of November.
