The body of a woman, believed to be in her 20s, has been pulled from the River Liffey in Dublin this morning.

The body of a woman, believed to be in her 20s, has been pulled from the River Liffey in Dublin this morning.

The alarm was raised at around 8.20am when the remains were spotted in the water at Dublin Port.

Four units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene along with a sea rescue boat which recovered the body at around 9am.

Gardaí say they are investigating the incident.
