Dublin DART back in action following technical fault

Update 10;50pm: In Dublin, all DART services are back up and running.

Irish Rail says there are some delays following an earlier fault on the network.

Earlier: In Dublin, all DART services have been suspended this morning due to a technical fault.

Irish Rail says the fault is affecting all level crossings.

Dublin Bus is accepting rail tickets for the duration of the stoppage.

Communications Manager at Iarnrod Eireann Barry Kenny says they hope to be back up and running soon: "Unfortunately there was significant disruption due to a fault affecting the level crossings across the DART network.

"There are 12 of them.

"So we had to halt services as we got local staff to each of the sites. That is something we are close to completing now. We have the northside crossings covered and the southside very shortly."
