Cocaine worth around €500,000 has been seized in Dublin.

The seven kilos drugs were recovered as part of an planned operation at Coolquay, The Ward yesterday.

Gardaí from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and officers from Finglas Garda Station conducted the search and say the haul is a significant blow to criminals involved in organised crime.

In a statement, Gardaí say they believe it will seriously disrupt the sale and supply of cocaine in The Dublin region.

No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
