Dublin clinic predicts doubling of hay fever sufferers in Ireland

Hay fever has hit nearly a third of the country, according to new research.

The fine summery conditions have brought high pollen counts for days, although the arrival of some showers in the coming days could provide some relief.

It is claimed that Ireland has one of the highest instances of hay fever in the world.

A doctor at the Clontarf Clinic in Dublin is also predicting the number of sufferers could double by the year 2040.
