Flight operations have resumed at Dublin Airport this evening following today's heavy snowfall.

However, because of the delays caused by today's closure, passengers have been advised to consult with their airline's website before coming to the airport.

"Snow and ice clearing teams have been working throughout the afternoon to clear the runway, taxiways and associated apron areas," said a DAA statement.

"Further disruption may occur to the flight schedule should weather conditions deteriorate further."
