Dublin Airport faces busiest day of the season

Over 70,000 passengers are expected to pass through Dublin airport today, on the busiest day before Christmas.

The two terminals have been decorated with 88,000 lights, 102 Christmas trees and five Santas to welcome travellers home.

These people are waiting to welcome loved ones home;

"My son, daughter-in-law and three grandchildren are arriving from Perth in Western Australia this morning," said Thomas Larkin from Aughrim in Co Wicklow, as he waited in the terminal today. "And we haven't seen them in three years, so I'm really looking forward to this."
