Drop in arrears among Bord Gáis customers
The number of Bord Gáis customers in arrears is falling.
Almost 133,000 households were behind on their utility bills towards the end of last year.
The semi-State company says there are now around 100,000 accounts with bills more than 60 days overdue.
Chief executive of Bord Gáis John Mullins said: "(The figures) haven't got to where they need to be, and that's because the economy hasn't got where it needs to be.
"But they have stabilised, and we have put out a lot more devices that will assist people."
