Donnelly suggests TDs need professional training to handle the country's finances

Independent TD Stephen Donnelly said Dáil members should be given professional training to help them make better decisions about the country's finances.

Donnelly was speaking at a conference in Dublin examining Ireland's Post Troika future. He added Dáil "utterly failed" to prevent our economic collapse and is one of the worst parliaments in the developed world at probing fiscal policy.

Donnelly thinks professional training is the answer.
