Doctors to decide on Haddington Road Agreement

Doctors will vote on the Haddington Road Agreement, after the Irish Medical Organisation advised members to accept the revised deal.

The union representing up to 4,000 doctors, has decided to ballot members on the agreement by post over the coming weeks.

A spokesperson for the IMO Ray Gordon said the council had a lengthy debate on the issue last night, and the decision to let members vote on it was not unanimous.

He said the deal is still "far from perfect".
