The results of a DNA test carried out on a dismembered leg found in a Dublin bin are due to be revealed later today.

The leg and a pelvis were discovered by workers at Thorntons Recycling plant in Ballyfermot on Thursday night.

A post-mortem carried out on the remains yesterday to try to find out the sex and age of the body proved to be inconclusive.
