A significant haul of counterfeit Ugg boots worth half a milion euro has been seized during a raid at a warehouse in Hollyhill, Knocknaheeny on the north side of Cork city this afternoon.

A significant haul of counterfeit Ugg boots worth half a million euro has been seized during a raid at a warehouse in Hollyhill, Knocknaheeny on the north side of Cork city this afternoon.

Two men in their 30s and 50s were arrested at the scene. They are being detained at Gurranabraher Garda station.

A garda source described the haul as "extremely significant" and described the boots as being good copies.

A statement released by gardaí estimates about 15,000 pairs of counterfeit boots were seized.
